Dance

We all love to go to parties and dance. It is a great way to release energy. We dance for all sorts of reasons. We dance to keep healthy, some people even pole dance to exercise. People dance in certain ways so that other people will notice them. There are many reasons nowadays to dance, but why did people use to dance?
Dancing was part of culture. Before having a written language dance was used to tell people stories. Some cultures dance to ask for rain, others danced to heal sick people. People dance out of excitement, others dance because of the sadness they have at the death of a loved one. People dance to celebrate many things, such as marriage and the birth of a new life.
These days I think people mainly dance because of celebration and exercise. I don’t think you would seem many people nowadays dancing in the street for rain, although this does still happen in some places in South America. Why do you dance? Is it to get noticed, or just to use some energy at the weekend?
